Product Operations Analyst
Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Product Operations Analyst to optimize the performance and efficiency of our products within the Philippine market. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between product development and daily operations, ensuring our products run smoothly, users have a seamless experience, and insights are effectively translated into actionable improvements. This role requires a strong understanding of product lifecycle management, user behavior, and operational processes, with a particular focus on mobile applications.
Responsibilities
Product Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
- Monitor key product performance metrics (e.g., usage, conversion, retention, error rates) and identify trends or anomalies specific to the Philippine user base.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer support teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational issues impacting product performance or user experience.
- Develop and implement operational processes and tools to improve product efficiency and reliability.
User Feedback & Usability:
- Conduct and coordinate mobile app usability testing and panel testing with Filipino users to gather direct feedback and identify friction points within the product.
- Analyze user feedback channels (e.g., support tickets, app store reviews, social media) to identify common pain points, feature requests, and operational challenges.
- Translate user insights and operational data into clear, actionable recommendations for product improvements and new feature development.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track product operational health, user engagement, and market trends.
- Provide regular reports and insights to product managers and stakeholders on product performance, operational bottlenecks, and user experience.
- Utilize data to support product decisions and validate the impact of operational changes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as a key liaison between product development, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure smooth product launches and ongoing operations.
- Support product managers in defining requirements and ensuring operational readiness for new features or products.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of product operations processes and best practices.
Market & Competitor Monitoring
- Assist in monitoring key market trends and competitor activities relevant to product operations and user experience in the Philippines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product operations, product management (junior PM), or a closely related analytical role.
- Proven experience in conducting user research, particularly mobile app usability testing and/or panel testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify root causes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical and operational issues clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel).
- Deep understanding of the Philippine market and Filipino consumer behavior.
- Familiarity with product development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in market research or competitive research, with a strong ability to gather and synthesize external insights relevant to product operations.
- Prior experience with fintech mobile applications or in the financial technology industry.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, Zendesk) and product analytics platforms.
- Proficiency in Tagalog or other major Philippine languages.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
